TRAIL OF TEARS: Mexican Tour Cancelled

November 7, 2005

Norway's TRAIL OF TEARS have been forced to cancel their previously announced Mexican tour. The group's official statement on the matter reads as follows:

"It is with a feeling of sadness and anger that we are writing these words.
Having worked for months we were thrilled to finally confirm the 'Free Fall into Fear tour of Mexico', due to take place in November 2005. As it turns out it is not possible to go through with the tour due to severe neglect and lack of responsibility by the organizer.

"First of all, we would like to offer our sincere apologies to all the Mexican fans, it is important for us that you know that this was our number one priority for this year and something that we had all been looking forward to with great excitement.

"Then some words regarding the cancellation. The organizer of this tour, HOD Productions/AlterEgo Entertainment with promoter Carlos Hernandez, is the sole reason why we find ourselves in this frustrating situation. The organizer has failed to fulfill his responsibilities towards the band in the utmost amateuristic way. We see it as our duty to warn everyone in the scene against the organizer so that no one has to experience what we are now going through.

"The worst thing is that we have not been given any time to look for alternative solutions in order to substitute these shows, thus resulting in severe financial loss for the band. Since we do not have time to book alternative shows for this period it means that the band stands completely without income for the entire period. We have also turned down very attractive offers in Europe so that the Mexican tour would become a reality.

"Again we would like to apologize to all of you who had been looking forward to the tour and we ask for your understanding in this difficult case. We will not be broken by this however, and promise you all that we will be back with a vengeance as soon as we have the chance!"

TRAIL OF TEARS's latest album, "Free Fall Into Fear", is available now on Napalm Records. The follow-up to 2002's "A New Dimension of Might" was recorded at Dub Studio with producer Endre Kirkesola (GREEN CARNATION, BLOOD RED THRONE).
